Cadence players training on the futsal court

TRAIN ALL WINTER

High School Futsal at Cadence keeps high school players on the court all winter. Training is offered at both development and elite level — development sessions sharpen the technical base, ball control, and decision making, while elite sessions push experienced players with faster tempo, tactical intelligence, and competitive play.

Futsal is the best off-season tool a high school player can have: a smaller court, a heavier ball, and constant pressure mean more touches, faster decisions, and sharper skills than any large-field session can deliver.

Every session is led by our professional coaching staff at Cadence Sports Center and built on the Zego Method, so high school players train in the same environment where our national champions developed.

WHAT YOU'LL GAIN THIS WINTER

A winter of futsal changes how you play. Here's what high school players build with us between November and March — skills that show up immediately on the big court in the spring.

TIGHT-SPACE CONTROL

On a futsal court there is nowhere to hide. Ball control, first touch, and close-range dribbling improve every session — the foundation for beating pressure anywhere on the court.

FASTER DECISIONS

Futsal's speed forces quick thinking with and without the ball. Players learn to scan, decide, and play in a fraction of a second — the difference-makers at the high school level.

FINISHING & 1V1 PLAY

Constant small-sided situations mean more chances to take players on and finish under pressure. Expect hundreds more reps than a normal field session.

POSITIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Rotations, spacing, and playing under pressure are at the heart of the Zego Method. Players come back to their high school teams reading the game two plays ahead.

PARENT FAQ

What to expect from High School Futsal.

Is High School Futsal right for my child?+

Yes — we accept both developing and elite players. High school players newer to futsal build their technical base in development-level sessions, while experienced players are pushed in elite-level sessions. Either way, your child trains at the level that challenges them.

What's the difference between development and elite level?+

Development sessions sharpen the fundamentals: ball control, first touch, and decision making in tight spaces. Elite sessions run at a higher tempo with tactical intelligence and competitive small-sided play for experienced players.

Why futsal in the winter?+

Futsal is the ideal off-season sport for high school players: the smaller court and faster game mean far more touches, quicker decisions, and sharper skills than large-field training. Players return to their high school season ready to compete.

What methodology do you use?+

The Zego Method — the futsal methodology at the heart of Cadence Futsal, developed by Zego, inventor of the 4-0 system. It's the same professional approach that has produced our national championship teams.

When and where is training?+

Training takes place indoors at Cadence Sports Center, 2250 S. Chicago St., Joliet, Illinois — our state-of-the-art facility built together with the club in 2017. Contact us for the current High School Futsal schedule.

What does my child need to bring?+

Purchase the practice jersey. Black shorts and socks. Futsal shoes are required. Bring a water bottle. Futsal balls and training equipment are provided by the facility.

What happens if there aren't enough registrations for a group?+

Training groups are formed when we receive enough registrations for either a development or elite training group. If we do not get enough registrations to form a group, payments may be refunded.
